Rep. Claudia Tenney, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on October 7, 2025, addressing issues ranging from alleged government misconduct to commemorating the victims of Hamas attacks.
In her first post on October 7, 2025, Tenney commented on recent reports involving Special Counsel Jack Smith and the FBI: “Jack Smith maliciously weaponized the law to help Democrats win. If true, this report proves the FBI spied on Republican lawmakers. Jack Smith’s malicious prosecution must be fully investigated & he must be held accountable.”
Later that day, she reflected on the anniversary of a significant tragedy for the Jewish community: “October 7, 2023 was the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Thousands of civilians, including U.S. citizens, were murdered, kidnapped, assaulted, and raped by Hamas. We honor and remember the innocent lives taken, we demand the return of every hostage,” she wrote.
Tenney also criticized House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in another post: “Hakeem Jeffries is running the same corrupt playbook he used in Albany. He’d rather shut down the government than stop pouring your money into Medicaid for illegal immigrants.”
Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th District in Congress since defeating Anthony Brindisi in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. She was born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. Tenney graduated from Colgate University with a BA and later earned her JD from the University of Cincinnati.
