Rep. Claudia Tenney, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th district, shared several thoughts on current national issues via social media platforms. As a political figure who has been serving in her current role since 2021, Tenney’s posts touch on matters significant to her platform and political stance.
On April 28, 2025, Rep. Tenney stated that “Border Security is National Security!” emphasizing her perspective on national defense and immigration policies.
Later that day, she praised former President Donald Trump for his actions in his early administration stages, asserting that “President Trump is delivering on his promises to the American people!” She highlighted actions taken within the first 100 days of his term, including banning biological men from women’s sports, designating MS-13 as a terrorist organization, declaring a National Energy Emergency, and eliminating federal DEI programs.
In another statement on the same day, Tenney addressed the topic of historical statues, claiming that “Tearing down the statue of Christopher Columbus, only erases the memory of an important icon in our nation’s history.” She argued that Columbus’s reputation has been unfairly maligned by revisionist historians and expressed her support for former President Trump’s efforts to preserve Columbus’s legacy.
Claudia Tenney, born in New Hartford, New York, in 1961, currently lives in Canandaigua. She graduated from Colgate University and later earned a JD from the University of Cincinnati. Before her congressional role, she served in the New York State Assembly.
