U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney, who serves New York’s 24th district, shared a series of posts on social media between January 19 and January 20, 2026, addressing civil rights history, economic conditions, and recent political controversies.
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Tenney posted about the significance of the day and highlighted Upstate New York’s contributions to civil rights history. On January 19, she wrote: “On this MLK Day, we honor Dr. King’s leadership in advancing civil rights and reflect on the role Upstate New York played in shaping the abolitionist movement.
Harriet Tubman in Auburn, Frederick Douglass in Rochester, the Abolition Hall of Fame in Peterboro, the Women’s Rights”.
Later that day, Tenney commented on changes in fuel prices: “Gas prices are DOWN.
Yesterday I paid about $2.88 in Upstate New York after paying over $4 under Biden.
Thanks to President Trump, real economic relief is here and it’s just getting started.”
On January 20, Tenney addressed protests related to alleged fraud and waste in Minnesota. She stated: “Radical activists are engineering protests to distract from TREMENDOUS fraud and waste in Minnesota.
Instead of answers, Democrats attack ICE and inflame hostility toward law enforcement.”
Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th congressional district since 2021 after previously serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. She was born in New Hartford, New York in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. Tenney holds a BA from Colgate University (1983) and a JD from the University of Cincinnati (1987).
