Rep. Claudia Tenney, representing New York’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal about several issues concerning her state and national policies through her recent tweets. Tenney, who took office in 2021 after replacing Anthony Brindisi, previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Tenney highlighted the substantial federal aid received by New York in 2024 and expressed concerns over high taxation levels within the state. She proposed creating a DOGE oversight commission to ensure proper expenditure of funds: “In 2024, New York received $110.2 billion in federal aid, the second most of any state… By creating a DOGE oversight commission in each state, we can ensure funds are appropriately spent before…”

The following day on March 4, Tenney criticized Governor Kathy Hochul’s handling of state prisons during an appearance on FOX Business’ “Mornings with Maria.” She called for Albany Democrats to repeal certain policies: “Kathy Hochul has turned New York State’s prisons into a powder keg… I joined Mornings with Maria on FOX Business to discuss the ongoing strikes at NY prisons & why Albany Democrats must repeal their pro-criminal, anti-law enforcement policies”

Later that same day, she expressed support for President Trump’s “America First” agenda by outlining specific policy actions taken under his administration aimed at maintaining peace through strength: “President Trump’s America First agenda is prioritizing PEACE through STRENGTH…  REINSTATED the Maximum Pressure Campaign on Iran  BANNED taxpayer funding from supporting the UNRWA  IMPOSED sanctions on the ICC  DESIGNATED the Houthis as a FTO”
