Representative Claudia Tenney, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th District since 2021, recently shared her views on law enforcement and environmental regulation through a series of posts on social media. Tenney, a Republican legislator and former member of the New York State Assembly, addressed topics including immigration enforcement actions and proposed legislation concerning consumer products.
On July 15, 2025, Tenney commented on recent law enforcement activity involving immigration authorities. She stated: “361 illegal aliens arrested. Rapists & child predators taken off the streets. Trafficked children rescued from forced labor. Gavin Newsom’s biggest concern? That ICE dared to do its job. Democrats are siding with criminals. President Trump & @HouseGOP are putting”.
Later that day, she posted a link without additional commentary at 17:12 UTC.
In another post made at the same time, Tenney addressed federal regulations regarding consumer products, specifically paper straws. She wrote: “Soggy paper straws are more than just annoying; they’re a symbol of the Left’s radical climate agenda. The Better Straws Act bans federally mandated paper straws & puts consumers back in charge. @POTUS & I are working to restore common sense! https://t.co/D4VcRgxBtZ”.
Claudia Tenney was born in New Hartford, New York in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. She graduated from Colgate University in 1983 and earned a JD from the University of Cincinnati in 1987.
