U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney, who represents New York’s 24th district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on February 4, 2026, addressing immigration enforcement and women’s sports.
In her first tweet at 15:08 UTC, Tenney wrote: “Homan made it clear: De-escalation starts with cooperation. Let ICE do the job they were sent there to do by removing dangerous criminals from our communities and order will be restored.”
Later that day at 16:29 UTC, she commented on the release of an individual charged with serious crimes in New York, stating: “A previously deported criminal illegal alien charged with rape, strangulation, sexual assault, and drug crimes was released onto NY streets FOUR times after sanctuary politicians ignored an ICE detainer & federal warrant. Completely preventable. Hochul and Mamdani own this”
At 18:35 UTC on the same day, Tenney marked National Girls and Women in Sports Day by expressing support for women’s athletics: “Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Women and girls deserve REAL fairness, REAL opportunity, and a level playing field. I will always fight to protect women’s sports!”
Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th congressional district since 2021 after defeating Anthony Brindisi. She previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently residing in Canandaigua, Tenney holds degrees from Colgate University (BA) and the University of Cincinnati (JD).
