Claudia Tenney, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th district, shared her perspectives on various political issues through a series of tweets on March 5, 2025. Her comments touched upon immigration policies in New York, government spending oversight, and President Trump’s recent address to Congress.

In her first tweet, Tenney criticized the actions of New York State and New York City regarding immigration. She stated that “New York State & New York City have actively encouraged criminal illegal aliens to enter our country & settle in our state, with Albany using federal taxpayer dollars to support them.” She emphasized that under President Trump, such practices would not continue.

Later that day, Tenney highlighted the need for enhanced oversight on government spending at the state level. She argued that “DOGE’s oversight on wasteful government spending should not just be happening at the federal level.” She announced her initiative titled “State Level DOGE Establishment Act,” which aims to work alongside legislation from fellow politicians Mark Walczyk and Jeff Gallahan.

In another tweet posted on March 5, Tenney praised President Trump’s performance during his Joint Address to Congress. She remarked that “President Trump hit a HOME RUN last night at his Joint Address to Congress.” Furthermore, she noted his accomplishments within the initial months of his term as achieving “bold & commonsense results for the American people.”
