Rep. Claudia Tenney, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to comment on several issues including law enforcement, immigration policy, and congressional appointments.
On July 22, 2025, Tenney congratulated a fellow legislator by stating, “Congratulations to my friend & fellow New Yorker, @RepGarbarino, on being named Chair of @HomelandGOP! His leadership on cybersecurity & border security will be critical in keeping our nation safe.”
Addressing concerns about violence against police the following day, she posted on July 23, 2025: “Violence against law enforcement is skyrocketing because of the anti-police rhetoric from Democrats & their soft-on-crime policies. The Left continues to prove that they put the lives of illegal aliens above those of Americans.”
Later that same day, Tenney commented on birthright citizenship and legislative efforts regarding immigration. She wrote: “Birthright citizenship was never meant to be a reward for breaking our immigration laws. The Constitutional Citizenship Clarification Act makes it clear: No citizenship for children born to illegal aliens, foreign spies, or terrorists.”
Claudia Tenney has served in Congress since defeating Anthony Brindisi in 2021 and previously represented constituents in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently residing in Canandaigua at age 62, Tenney holds degrees from Colgate University (BA) and the University of Cincinnati (JD).
