On February 6, 2025, Rep. Tenney expressed gratitude towards active-duty troops deployed at the Southern Border, including those from Fort Drum. She noted that “President Trump is continuing to send additional troops to support those already conducting enforcement operations in the region.”

Later that day, she addressed the issue of drug overdoses in 2023, noting that over 107,000 lives were lost, with nearly 75,000 attributed to synthetic opioids. She mentioned the HALT Fentanyl Act’s goal of reducing fentanyl-related deaths by providing law enforcement with necessary tools to combat these drugs: “The HALT Fentanyl Act aims to reduce fentanyl-related deaths by equipping law enforcement with the necessary tools to keep these dangerous drugs off the…”

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Tenney commented on President Trump’s actions regarding immigration enforcement: “President Trump is fulfilling his promise to the American people by getting the most violent & dangerous illegal immigrants off U.S. soil.”
