Rep. Claudia Tenney, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, has shared several updates on her legislative initiatives and foreign policy positions through social media.
On June 20, 2025, Rep. Tenney emphasized her stance on Iran’s nuclear capabilities. She stated that “President Trump has made it clear: the Iranian regime must never obtain a nuclear weapon & must dismantle its enrichment capabilities.” In line with this position, she introduced a resolution to support Israel’s efforts in eliminating Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
Later that day, Rep. Tenney highlighted tax relief measures for American taxpayers with the introduction of what she calls “The One Big Beautiful Bill.” She noted that it “DELIVERS for American taxpayers!” The bill includes significant tax cuts amounting to $124 billion for tipped workers, $40 billion for hourly overtime workers, and $72 billion in tax relief for seniors.
Additionally, Rep. Tenney discussed strategies to weaken Iran economically by collaborating with European allies—the UK, France, and Germany—to invoke snapback sanctions against Iran. According to her post on June 20, 2025,“Snapback would prevent Iran from enriching itself by selling oil, ballistic missiles, UAVs & weapons globally.”
Claudia Tenney was born in New Hartford, New York in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. She holds a BA from Colgate University and a JD from the University of Cincinnati.
