Representative Claudia Tenney, a former New York State Assembly member who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021, has recently made several public statements via social media. Representing New York’s 24th District, Tenney addressed legislative developments for veterans, criticized a former governor’s policies, and shared a message in celebration of Earth Day.
On April 21, 2025, Tenney highlighted the passage of three bills by the House GOP, aimed at improving care for veterans. She mentioned the bills in a statement, detailing the initiatives as the “Vietnam Veterans Liver Fluke Cancer Study Act,” “The Clear Communication for Veterans Claims Act,” and “The Prioritizing Veterans’ Survivors Act.”
Later on the same day, Tenney commented on the impact of former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s policies. In her post, she argued that “New Yorkers suffered immensely under disgraced Governor Cuomo’s deadly Nursing Home Directive that resulted in the premature deaths of over 15,000 nursing home residents.” She accused Cuomo of deflecting responsibility and misleading Congress about the issue.
Tenney turned to a more positive note on April 22, 2025, by celebrating Earth Day from her district, NY-24. She expressed her pride in representing a region known for its natural attractions and agricultural offerings. Her message described NY-24 as a “shining example of nature’s beauty,” highlighting the Finger Lakes, Lake Ontario, and the area’s vineyards and fertile lands.
Claudia Tenney has been actively serving New York’s 24th district after replacing Anthony Brindisi in 2021. With a strong educational background, having graduated from Colgate University and the University of Cincinnati, Tenney employs her experience to address both local and national concerns from her hometown of Canandaigua.
