U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney, who represents New York’s 24th district in Congress, has recently made a series of statements on social media addressing issues related to immigration policy and tax legislation.

On August 9, 2025, Tenney wrote: “4/4 Under this principle, the privilege of U.S. citizenship must NOT be granted to those who illegally entered and broke our laws in the first place. Bottom line: Ending birthright citizenship for illegal invaders is vital for our nation. My bill would do just that.”

Continuing her commentary on immigration policy, Tenney posted on August 10, 2025: “Sanctuary cities don’t ‘protect’ anyone; they shield criminal illegal aliens and endanger American citizens. Democrats know it. That’s the whole point. Flood the streets, tamper with our elections, and pretend it’s compassion. We have a duty to defund these lawless cities and”

Later that same day, she addressed claims regarding a legislative proposal: “There have been so many Democrat lies about the One Big Beautiful Bill, I need to set the record straight. This is the largest middle and working class tax cut in American history. President Trump is putting $1000 a year back into the pockets of hardworking families. The Left”

Claudia Tenney has served as a member of Congress representing New York’s 24th District since 2021 after previously serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. She succeeded Anthony Brindisi in her current role (source: Congressional biography). Born in New Hartford, New York in 1961, Tenney currently resides in Canandaigua at age 62 and holds degrees from Colgate University (BA) and the University of Cincinnati (JD).
