U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney, who serves New York’s 24th district in Congress, voiced her opposition to War Powers resolutions and recent legislative actions by House Democrats in a series of posts on December 17, 2025.
In a post published at 15:35 UTC, Tenney stated, “I am a NO on these War Powers resolutions. If passed, these would essentially give impunity to foreign terrorist organizations operating the Americas. President Trump is doing important work to keep our nation safe. Hindering that will only embolden our adversaries.”
Later the same day, at 17:27 UTC, she wrote, “House Democrats are so consumed with their hatred of President Trump that they’re now pushing legislation that would shield violent drug cartels. The Democratic Party has made its choice, and it’s standing with smugglers, traffickers, and criminal cartels instead of American https://t.co/diSq2XtKjv”
Tenney also addressed the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on seniors in long-term care facilities in another post at 19:43 UTC: “The isolation imposed on seniors during COVID had devastating consequences for residents and their families. I reintroduced the bipartisan Essential Caregivers Act to protect patient rights and guarantee access to designated essential caregivers in long-term care facilities.”
Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th District in Congress since 2021 after defeating Anthony Brindisi. Before her current tenure in Congress, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently residing in Canandaigua, Tenney holds a BA from Colgate University and a JD from the University of Cincinnati.
