Claudia Tenney, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, has recently made several statements on social media addressing issues related to the Russia investigation, law enforcement funding, and Department of Justice personnel.
The following day, August 1, she commented on New York State Assembly member Zohran Mamdani’s record regarding police funding: “Zohran Mamdani’s record is crystal clear: he wants to defund the police. His marxist, anti-Semitic, and anti-police ideology has taken over the Democrat Party. No amount of spin can hide it. More on this via @EveningEdit with @LizMacDonaldFOX https://t.co/zjLWEEShoH”
Later that same day, Tenney raised concerns about a former Department of Justice official: “So let me get this straight: The same Biden DOJ official who approved a million-dollar settlement for Russia hoaxer Peter Strzok is Brian Netter. He now works for Marc Elias, the Clinton campaign attorney who funded the Steele dossier and falsely reported it as legal services. https://t.co/Ful7kIOSgx”
Tenney has been active in national politics since replacing Anthony Brindisi in Congress in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently residing in Canandaigua, she holds degrees from Colgate University and the University of Cincinnati.
