Claudia Tenney, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th district, has been vocal on various issues through her social media platform. She succeeded Anthony Brindisi in 2021 and has served in Congress since then. Her recent posts address topics ranging from personal well-wishes to legislative matters.
On May 19, 2025, Claudia Tenney expressed her sympathy for President Biden’s health condition. “I am saddened to hear of the former President’s cancer diagnosis, & I wish him a speedy recovery.” She extended her prayers to President Biden and his family during this challenging time.
Later that day, she addressed an incident involving violence against civilians. “Killing a pregnant woman on her way to deliver her baby demonstrates the depravity of Palestinian terrorism.” Tenney criticized Hamas for celebrating such acts and linked these actions to the broader ‘Free Palestine’ movement.
In another post on the same day, Tenney highlighted her legislative efforts concerning Medicaid funding. “The One Big Beautiful Bill includes my legislation to ban Medicaid funding for gender transition procedures for minors!” She emphasized that taxpayer money should not be used for surgeries she considers dangerous for children.
Claudia Tenney was born in New Hartford, New York in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. She graduated from Colgate University with a BA in 1983 and earned a JD from the University of Cincinnati in 1987.
