On May 17, 2025, Rep. Tenney expressed gratitude to service members on Armed Forces Day. She stated, “Happy Armed Forces Day to the service members in NY-24 & across the country! We thank you for your service!” This message was directed at both local and national military personnel.
Later that day, she highlighted a concerning trend regarding law enforcement safety. In her tweet from May 17, 2025, she noted a significant increase in fatalities among officers: “Within just the first 8 months of 2024, there was a 6.8% rise in law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.” She mentioned legislative efforts by House Republicans to address this issue through the passage of the Improving Law Enforcement Officer Safety & Wellness Through Data Act of 2025.
