U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney, who serves New York’s 24th district, posted a series of statements on her official X (formerly Twitter) account in early August 2025, addressing issues ranging from state politics to national immigration policy and international trade.
On August 1, Tenney criticized the choices made by Democratic leaders in New York, writing, “This is who New York Democrats have elevated. Voters need to pay attention.”
The following day, she commented on recent immigration enforcement statistics under President Trump’s administration: “150,000 illegal immigrants arrested since January under President Trump. Trump promised to restore law and order. ICE is finally empowered and funded to do its job again, removing criminal aliens and securing our border. Promises made. Promises kept.” This post comes amid ongoing debates over U.S. border security policies.
Later that same day, Tenney addressed economic relations with South Korea: “President Trump secured a major $350B trade deal with South Korea. This means more American jobs, more manufacturing at home, and stronger ties with a key ally. President Trump is delivering real results for American workers.”
Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th district in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. She was born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. Tenney graduated from Colgate University with a BA in 1983 before earning her JD from the University of Cincinnati in 1987.
