Rep. Claudia Tenney, who currently serves in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th district, shared a series of statements on social media reflecting her positions on recent legislative actions and policy debates.
On April 8, 2025, Rep. Tenney highlighted the Republican Study Committee’s introduction of the Maximum Pressure Act as a measure to reinforce former President Trump’s policies on Iran. She noted, “ICYMI: @RepublicanStudy unveiled the Maximum Pressure Act last week to reinforce President Trump’s strong actions to counter Iran’s dangerous behavior. This legislation makes it clear: Iran’s malign activities will no longer be tolerated, & the IRGC’s reign of terror is over”.
Later that day, Tenney addressed the issue of voter identification requirements, juxtaposing them with other ID-requiring activities. She stated, “Things you need a Valid ID for: Renting a home, Purchasing alcohol, cigarettes, certain cold medicines, Checking out at COSTCO, Opening a bank account, Getting on an airplane, Adopting a pet. Yet the Left is pushing the narrative that requiring ID to vote is discriminatory”.
Additionally, on April 8, 2025, Rep. Tenney conveyed her commitment to community safety and support for first responders. She mentioned her participation in a recruiting event with Niagara County’s fire services, stating “Our team joined Jonathan Schultz, Niagara County Emergency Services Director & Fire Coordinator, for FASNY’s RecruitNY Weekend, a statewide event to recruit new volunteer firefighters. I remain committed to supporting our first responders & those who serve our communities”.
