Claudia Tenney, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman for New York’s 24th district, shared several notable events and opinions through her recent social media posts. Tenney has been representing this district since 2021, having replaced Anthony Brindisi. She also has experience from her tenure in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016.
On July 9, Tenney highlighted an extraordinary event that took place on Independence Day. “On the 4th of July, Village of Medina firefighters delivered twins on the way to the hospital in two NY-24 counties!” she stated. The delivery occurred with one baby born in Orleans County and the other in Genesee County, which she described as “A true Independence Day miracle thanks to our local heroes!”
The following day, July 10, Tenney commented on legal actions taken by the Trump Administration against California regarding sports regulations. “The Trump Administration is suing California for violating Title IX by allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports,” she tweeted. She criticized Governor Gavin Newsom’s stance as prioritizing “woke nonsense over women & science.”
Later on July 10, Tenney addressed concerns regarding anti-Semitic activities at Harvard University. “Harvard must crack down on the anti-Semitic & pro-Hamas mobs threatening Jewish students,” she asserted. She called for action against foreign students allegedly abusing their visas and inciting hate and emphasized that if Harvard fails to protect its students, intervention from the Trump Administration would be necessary.
Claudia Tenney was born in New Hartford, New York in 1961 and currently resides in Canandaigua. Her educational background includes a BA from Colgate University and a JD from the University of Cincinnati.
