Rep. Claudia Tenney, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, has recently addressed issues ranging from semiconductor investment to immigration enforcement in a series of posts on her social media account.
On January 17, 2026, Tenney highlighted her involvement in a major technology initiative: “It was exciting to break ground with @MicronTech on its historic investment in New York State. This project will create 50,000 jobs and strengthen domestic semiconductor manufacturing across NY. I was honored to lead this effort in the House as Congress reaffirmed America’s”. The post refers to Micron Technology’s plans for significant investment in the state and emphasizes job creation and strengthening domestic production.
Later that day, Tenney commented on activism related to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations: “Paid left-wing activists gin people up with propaganda to interfere with LAWFUL ICE operations. They don’t know who ICE is targeting and don’t care that these are dangerous criminals. When Democrats delegitimize law enforcement, they put agents and communities at risk.” In this post dated January 17, she criticized activist interference with ICE actions and raised concerns about public safety.
On January 18, Tenney expanded her critique of sanctuary policies: “This isn’t just Minnesota. Sanctuary policies in states like NY block ICE and release criminals back into our communities. Cooperation with law enforcement keeps people safe. If Kathy Hochul & Tim Walz actually cared about peace, they’d work with ICE.” The statement addresses state-level policies that limit cooperation between local authorities and federal immigration officials.
Claudia Tenney has served as the representative for New York’s 24th District since replacing Anthony Brindisi in 2021. She previously held office in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford, New York in 1961, Tenney currently resides in Canandaigua and holds degrees from Colgate University (BA) and the University of Cincinnati (JD).
