Representative Claudia Tenney, currently serving New York’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently commented on legislative developments and policy matters through her official social media account. Tenney, who succeeded Anthony Brindisi in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016, addressed issues ranging from tax relief measures to law enforcement safety and international cooperation.
On July 10, 2025, Tenney highlighted recent legislative achievements by the House GOP with a post stating that “By passing the One Big Beautiful Bill, @HouseGOP delivered real results for hardworking Americans: No taxes on tips No taxes on overtime Tax relief for seniors We’re making sure you keep more of your hard-earned paycheck.”
The following day, on July 11, 2025, Tenney drew attention to an increase in assaults against ICE officers since 2024. She posted that “Assaults against ICE officers have surged by 400% since 2024. Comparing ICE to ISIS is abhorrent & puts our courageous law enforcement in danger”.
Later on July 11, Tenney announced her reappointment to the Canada-U.S. Interparliamentary Group by Speaker Johnson. She stated that “Honored to be reappointed by @SpeakerJohnson to the Canada-U.S. Interparliamentary Group! Strengthening our relationship with our northern ally is key to advancing American interests, trade, & security. Looking forward to continuing to bolster our partnership & deliver on”.
Claudia Tenney was born in New Hartford, New York in 1961 and resides in Canandaigua. She graduated from Colgate University with a BA in 1983 and earned a JD from the University of Cincinnati in 1987.
