Rep. Claudia Tenney, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, recently shared several updates on legislative priorities and accomplishments via social media. Her posts focused on tax policies and economic measures aligned with former President Trump’s agenda.
On May 14, 2025, Rep. Tenney outlined several goals in a tweet. She emphasized the need to “Deliver on President Trump’s no tax on tips priority,” create six million jobs for American workers, and modernize the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit.
In another post on the same day, she announced that the Ways and Means Committee had voted to advance their portion of a significant legislative package intended to further President Trump’s America First agenda. The legislation aims to “Prevent a 25% tax hike on NY-24 taxpayers” and renew the 199A small business deduction at 23%.
Further elaborating on fiscal measures, Rep. Tenney tweeted about plans to extend and expand the doubled Death Tax Exemption for two million family-owned farms. This measure is expected to “Save the average American family $1,700,” equating to nine weeks of groceries.
Claudia Tenney has been active in politics for over a decade, having previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016 before her current congressional role. Born in New Hartford, New York, she resides in Canandaigua and holds degrees from Colgate University and the University of Cincinnati.
