Congresswoman Claudia Tenney of New York’s 24th District has received an A+ rating on the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America’s National Pro-Life Scorecard. This is the highest possible score, recognizing her actions in support of pro-life policies and measures that assist women, families, and unborn children.

The scorecard evaluates lawmakers based on their voting record, legislative sponsorships, public letters, and other actions related to advancing pro-life initiatives and supporting pregnant women and mothers. Congresswoman Tenney has promoted several pieces of legislation aligned with these priorities. Among them is the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act, which seeks to allow states to use Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funds for pregnancy resource centers offering services such as pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting education, counseling, and essential supplies.

Tenney has also worked on legislation including the Unborn Child Support Act, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act. She has supported efforts to prevent abortions based on a Down syndrome diagnosis and strengthen protections for vulnerable populations.

“An A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America reflects a clear record of standing up for the most vulnerable and supporting women with real resources,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “New York families see the consequences when the far-left pushes abortion on demand and attacks pregnancy centers that provide compassionate care and practical help. I will continue working to protect unborn children, defend taxpayers from funding abortion, and expand support systems that help mothers choose life and raise healthy, thriving families.”

Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th District in Congress since 2021 after replacing Anthony Brindisi (https://tenney.house.gov/about). Before her time in Congress, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016 (https://ballotpedia.org/Claudia_Tenney). Tenney was born in New Hartford in 1961; she currently lives in Canandaigua. She holds a BA from Colgate University (1983) and a JD from the University of Cincinnati (1987).
