Claudia Tenney, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th District, recently shared her perspectives on several national issues through a series of tweets. She elaborated on topics such as U.S. sanctions, tax policies, and government funding.
On May 1, 2025, Tenney expressed support for President Trump’s actions with respect to Iranian oil, stating, “By imposing secondary sanctions, President Trump is reinforcing our country’s zero-tolerance policy toward Iranian oil smuggling. Thank you, President Trump, for continuing to stand firm against Iran & holding those who evade U.S. sanctions accountable.”
Later that same day, Tenney voiced her concerns about the potential tax implications for her constituents in New York’s 24th District. She warned that without legislative action, “NY-24 taxpayers will see a 25% tax hike, & our small businesses will be hit with a 43% tax rate. We must preserve the Trump Tax Cuts to continue to deliver economic growth & stability for families, small businesses, & hardworking.”
On the following day, May 2, 2025, Tenney announced her intention to introduce new legislation aimed at defunding NPR and PBS. In her tweet, she declared, “Good Riddance! I am working with President Trump to defund these far-left outlets by introducing the Defund Government Sponsored Propaganda Act. We must ensure our tax dollars are not used to fund NPR or PBS.”
Representing New York’s 24th District since 2021, Claudia Tenney has actively participated in legislative efforts and maintained a strong stance on fiscal policies and media funding, continuing her involvement in national political discourse.
