Claudia Tenney, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 24th district, shared several updates on social media recently. These posts cover topics ranging from educational initiatives to national defense matters.
On June 21, 2025, Tenney highlighted an initiative led by the Second Lady of the United States (SLOTUS), who is hosting a Reading Challenge for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. The challenge encourages children to read 12 books by September 5 for a special prize and a chance to win a trip to the nation’s capital. “@SLOTUS is hosting a Reading Challenge for children in K-8th grade to encourage more kids to read this summer! In another post dated June 22, 2025, Tenney expressed her support for President Trump and acknowledged the efforts of U.S. servicemembers following successful airstrikes. She praised President Trump’s leadership as Commander in Chief and extended gratitude towards the bravery of the servicemembers involved. “President Trump has shown unwavering resolve in defending the U.S. & the free world. We are grateful for the bravery of our servicemembers who carried out these successful airstrikes & for President Trump’s leadership as our Commander in Chief! God Bless America “
Later that day, Tenney also commended the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program while urging prayers for service members stationed in the Middle East and worldwide. “As we commend the successful dismantling of the Iranian nuclear enrichment program, please join me praying for our courageous service men and women in the Middle East and around the world.”
Claudia Tenney has been serving in Congress since replacing Anthony Brindisi in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016.
