On April 8, 2025, Tenney highlighted recent enforcement actions by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Upstate New York. She noted that ICE had arrested several individuals, including an “illegal alien convicted of murder,” among others convicted of serious crimes such as sexual assault with a child, manslaughter, and assault. She expressed her appreciation for these actions in her tweet.

The following day, on April 9, Tenney announced her support for a legislative initiative aimed at excluding biological men from women’s sports. She shared that she has co-sponsored the Keep Our Girls SAFE Act, which seeks to solidify President Trump’s Executive Order into law. Tenney affirmed her stance with the President on maintaining the integrity of women’s sports through her tweet.

On the same day, Tenney commented on international business negotiations, referring to President Trump’s Liberation Day as a pivotal moment. She described it as “a masterclass in negotiation” which led the world to acknowledge the need for a balanced economic playing field for American businesses. She mentioned China’s retaliatory actions and maintained her belief in the consequential impact of these actions in her tweet.

Claudia Tenney has been serving in Congress since replacing Anthony Brindisi in 2021. She has a background in law with a JD from the University of Cincinnati and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford, she currently resides in Canandaigua.
