Rep. Claudia Tenney, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, posted a series of messages on her official X account addressing issues in Democrat-led cities and announcing opportunities for military academy nominations.
On January 15, 2026, Rep. Tenney shared a link to additional information, writing “Read more here: https://t.co/YgNxOCj7hd”.
Later the same day, she criticized Democratic leadership in urban areas with the statement: “Democrat-run cities are crumbling, and their reckless leaders are oblivious to the demise. Democrats provide cover to ill-informed protesters while fraud continues under their watch. We’ve seen this before: Side with the mob. Demonize law enforcement. Chaos follows. The following day, January 16, Rep. Tenney announced the opening of applications for U.S. Military Academy nominations for students from her district: “Applications are now OPEN for 2026 U.S. Military Academy nominations. Students from NY-24 who are interested in serving our country are encouraged to apply to West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, or the Merchant Marine Academy through my office.”
Claudia Tenney has represented New York’s 24th District in Congress since 2021 after replacing Anthony Brindisi and previously served in the New York State Assembly between 2011 and 2016. Born in New Hartford in 1961 and currently residing in Canandaigua at age 62, Tenney holds degrees from Colgate University (BA) and the University of Cincinnati (JD).
