Rep. Claudia Tenney, a current U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 24th district, recently shared several statements on various topics via her Twitter account. Tenney, who has been active in politics since serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016, expressed her views on issues ranging from university accountability, diplomatic appointments, to electoral security.

On April 9, 2025, Rep. Tenney announced the introduction of the University Accountability Act, stating that it aims to impose financial penalties on colleges harboring anti-Semitic activities. She emphasized that tax dollars should not support institutions that allow “such heinous anti-Semitism.” Her statement can be accessed here.

Later the same day, she congratulated Former Governor Mike Huckabee on his confirmation as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. In another tweet on April 9, 2025, Tenney supported the SAVE Act, designed to remove non-citizens from voter rolls and mandate proof of citizenship to register to vote. Tenney, who was born in New Hartford, New York, earned her Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a JD from the University of Cincinnati. She currently resides in Canandaigua.
