On January 7, 2026, Ortt highlighted Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, urging support for women affected by the disease and their families. He wrote: “This month is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, a time to support and raise awareness for the brave women battling this disease and the families who encourage them. Later that same day, Ortt criticized Governor Kathy Hochul’s approach to corrections officer safety. In his tweet from January 8, he stated: “Another glaring example that Governor Kathy Hochul does not care about the safety and wellbeing of our corrections officers. Cervical Cancer Awareness Month is observed annually in January to promote prevention through vaccination and regular screening tests. The New York State Legislature convenes each year to address policy issues affecting residents across the state.
