Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) was appointed by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to serve on the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group. The Inter-Parliamentary Group consists of a coalition of elected leaders from both Canada and U.S. who are dedicated to promoting dialogue on policy issues of shared interest. They engage in bilateral discussions on issues such as trade, border management, Great Lakes, security, and economic opportunity, aiming to enhance cooperation and foster mutual benefits

I look forward to working alongside my fellow members to address key issues impacting our bilateral relationship, including trade, security, environmental concerns, and cultural exchange. I remain committed to fostering an open dialogue, collaboration, and cooperation with our Canadian counterparts.”

Reps. Bill Huzienga (R-MI), Jack Bergman (R-MI), Pete Stauber (R-MN), Brad Finstad (R-MN) and Nick Langworthy (R-NY) were also appointed to serve as members of the group.
