Congresswoman Claudia Tenney held a roundtable discussion in Albion, New York, to address the challenges facing the local law enforcement community. The event was attended by a number of elected officials and law enforcement leaders, who gathered to discuss important issues affecting the community.
In her remarks, Congresswoman Tenney expressed her gratitude to all the public servants who participated in the roundtable, stating, "Every day, these courageous men and women risk their lives for our community, and they must have the tools they need to continue to keep themselves and our communities safe."
Senate Minority Leader Robert Ortt also thanked Congresswoman Tenney for organizing the roundtable and emphasized the importance of supporting law enforcement personnel, saying, "We continue to witness our brave men and women in law enforcement come under attack by individuals who feel emboldened by Albany’s soft-on-crime policies."
Assemblyman Steve Hawley echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the need to provide resources for law enforcement officers, stating, "For far too long, the Majority in Albany has supported initiatives that support criminals and undermine our police."
Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti commended Congresswoman Tenney for her support and understanding of the challenges faced by law enforcement, stating, "The anti-law enforcement politics by the majority in the New York State Legislature are taking a toll on law enforcement across this state."
Orleans County District Attorney Joseph Cardone and Orleans County Sheriff Christopher Bourke also expressed their appreciation for Congresswoman Tenney's advocacy and support for law enforcement efforts in the community.
