Rep. Claudia Tenney, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 24th district, has recently shared her views on various political issues through a series of tweets. These posts address international justice systems, state laws affecting public safety, and local government policies impacting residents' cost of living.
On November 21, 2024, Rep. Tenney criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC) for its lack of action against certain world leaders. She stated: "Bashar al-Assad - no warrant Ayatollah Khamenei - no warrant Kim Jong Un - no warrant Xi Jinping - no warrant The ICC is a joke and should be abolished. They don’t stand for justice, they stand for anti-Semitism."
Later that day, she addressed New York's Green Light Law in connection with a criminal case involving Laken Riley's death. She tweeted: "New York's Green Light Law allowed Laken Riley's killer to be released after being arrested by NYPD. Had this law not been in place, Laken Riley would still be alive today. It's time to put the safety of Americans over illegal immigrants."
On November 22, 2024, Rep. Tenney expressed her opposition to congestion pricing tolls implemented by Governor Hochul's administration in New York City. She remarked: "The congestion pricing toll is another example of the Hochul administration prioritizing revenue over residents, making life in New York unaffordable for many families. I joined some of my NY colleagues to share how we are fighting to protect New Yorkers from this cash grab."
