Claudia Tenney discusses immigration issues and honors local law enforcement

Rep. Claudia Tenney, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York's 24th district, has made several statements on social media regarding immigration and international affairs, as well as local community events. Tenney has been an active voice in her political career, which began in the New York State Assembly and now continues at the federal level.

On December 8, 2024, Rep. Tenney shared concerns about national security and immigration via Twitter. She stated that "90% of individuals on the terrorist watchlist have entered the U.S. through the Northern Border." Additionally, she highlighted that "58,000 illegal migrants in NYC are convicted felons or facing criminal charges." Furthermore, she mentioned that "$5 billion in taxpayer $ has been spent on illegal immigrants." She concluded by stating, "It's time to deport these…"

Later that day, on December 8, 2024, Tenney commented on international relations and historical events involving Syria's leadership. She described Bashar al-Assad as "a puppet of Russia and Iran," accusing him of using his power to commit war crimes and other atrocities against his own people. She stated that "The suffering of the Syrian people under this regime was horrific."

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Tenney attended a local event celebrating law enforcement personnel. In her tweet about the occasion, she expressed gratitude towards correctional officers at an event hosted by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office: "Our team had the honor of attending the Ontario County Sheriff Holiday Luncheon & Awards Ceremony to recognize the dedication of our correctional officers." Additionally, she noted celebrating "the retirement of Canine Fennell," expressing thanks to all serving correctional officers.
