Later that day, on December 8, 2024, Tenney commented on international relations and historical events involving Syria's leadership. She described Bashar al-Assad as "a puppet of Russia and Iran," accusing him of using his power to commit war crimes and other atrocities against his own people. She stated that "The suffering of the Syrian people under this regime was horrific."
On December 9, 2024, Rep. Tenney attended a local event celebrating law enforcement personnel. In her tweet about the occasion, she expressed gratitude towards correctional officers at an event hosted by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office: "Our team had the honor of attending the Ontario County Sheriff Holiday Luncheon & Awards Ceremony to recognize the dedication of our correctional officers."
