Congresswoman Claudia Tenney has announced the nomination of 16 students from New York's 24th Congressional District to the United States Military Service Academies. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Tenney is responsible for nominating candidates each year. A panel comprising local community leaders and veterans selected these students based on their academic achievements, character, and dedication to community service.

"Every year I am in awe of the outstanding talent, dedication, and character of our students here in NY-24," stated Congresswoman Tenney. "As the parent of a Naval Academy graduate who is actively serving in the Marines, I know how challenging this process can be. The hard work and devotion to service is evident in the applications we received."

Tenney noted that there were many well-qualified candidates this year and praised the committee for recognizing an exceptional group. She added, "Attending a Military Service Academy comes with great responsibility and commitment, and I am confident these outstanding individuals are up for the challenge."
