Claudia Tenney, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 24th district, shared her views and insights on recent policies and actions under President Trump's administration through a series of tweets. Tenney, who has been serving in Congress since 2021, discussed subjects ranging from the elimination of certain USDA contracts to international cooperation and immigration enforcement.
In a post dated April 2, 2025, Tenney commended the Department of Agriculture for its cost-saving measures. She remarked, ".@DOGE has eliminated over 110 wasteful contracts within the USDA, saving nearly $4.7 billion, including funds spent on Peru climate projects & Mexican gender equity initiatives." Tenney attributed these savings to President Trump's policies, which she believes allow the USDA to focus more on supporting farmers rather than diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Later, on the same day, Tenney expressed gratitude for a meeting with Eli Cohen to discuss countering the influence of the IRGC in the Middle East. Tenney stated, "Thank you, @elicoh1, for meeting with me to discuss the ongoing need for our countries to work together in countering the IRGC & its growing influence in the Middle East." She reaffirmed America's steadfast support for Israel under the leadership of President Trump.
On April 3, 2025, Tenney discussed immigration efforts, crediting Tom Homan and President Trump for deporting a significant number of criminal illegal immigrants. She asserted, "Under Border Czar Tom Homan & President Trump's leadership, we've already deported over 100,000 criminal illegal immigrants." Tenney emphasized that these efforts contribute to a safer nation under the current administration.
