Niagara County issued the following announcement on June 18.
The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:
- 5 new positive cases
- Total of 1205 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
- 57 active cases (55 isolating at home, 2 in hospital)
- 1061 recovered
- 87 deaths
- 24,328 people tested (source: https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/)
“The passing of these Niagara County residents occurred in hospitals outside of Niagara County but the Niagara County Department of Health was not made aware until this week,” said Stapleton. “We send our belated condolences to the families and friends of these individuals.”
- An 81 year-old male with underlying health conditions
- An 84 year-old male with underlying health conditions
- An 89 year-old male with underlying health conditions
- Another 89 year-old male with underlying health conditions
- A 97 year-old male with underlying health conditions
- A 71 year-old female with underlying health conditions
- A 78 year-old female with underlying health conditions
- A 94 year-old female with underlying health conditions
