Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) on June 22, 2023 issued the following statement after voting to make public the testimony from IRS whistleblowers exposing misconduct and the preferential treatment given to Hunter Biden. 

“The Biden Crime Family, through its most notorious proxy, Hunter Biden, has repeatedly evaded full accountability for corrupt schemes to leverage the family name in order to enrich themselves at the expensive of the American people,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “Today’s release of the IRS whistleblowers testimony reveals the extent of interference by the Department of Justice to slow walk and to cover up the investigation into Hunter Biden's financial problems. The testimony of the whistleblowers also reveals previously undisclosed multi-million dollar payments from Ukraine, Romania, and China, including expensive jewelry and a luxury car.

"The whistleblower testimony also reveals attempts by the DOJ to cause delays in the process, stopping a U.S. Attorney from bringing charges against Hunter Biden and potentially sharing sensitive information with President Biden's transition team to quash evidence. The testimony is more proof that there is not only a two-tiered justice system but little justice in America with the current Administration. Ordinary American taxpayers and those not in close affiliation with the party in power face the full force of the law or even abuse of power by federal prosecutors and Washington Bureaucrats. House Democrats' shameful attempt to downplay the preferential treatment Hunter Biden received and tangentially President Biden is inexcusable and sadly typical of a party that has engaged in the weaponization and abuse of governmental power.

“Ways and Mean Republicans are committed to ensuring our tax code is applied fairly and consistently, even if your last name is ‘Biden.’ No American, not even President Biden or his son Hunter, is above the law.”
