Washington, DC – Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today announced the initiation of the Community Project Funding (CPF) process for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25), inviting local leaders to participate. Tenney highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating, "Instead of relying on bureaucrats to make critical funding decisions, this process provides transparency, accountability, and rigorous oversight with congressional input."

According to Tenney, all CPF applications supported by her office must adhere to stringent eligibility criteria outlined in the appropriations guidance. She emphasized the importance of community support for proposed projects and the necessity of a clear strategy for utilizing allocated funds promptly. Tenney assured that her office works closely with grantees to ensure responsible fund utilization, stating, "Tenney’s office collaborates with all grantees throughout the process to vet requests and ensure allocated funds are utilized responsibly and for their intended purpose."

The CPF process, as mentioned by Tenney, is focused and restricted, historically capped at .5% of federal spending. Local elected officials and non-profits interested in submitting funding requests for community projects in New York’s 24th District are encouraged to visit Tenney’s website to express their intent. By signing up, organizations will receive updates on the FY25 CPF process guidance release and the opening of the formal application window.

Interested parties are urged to engage in this opportunity to advocate for crucial community projects through the CPF process.
