Rep. Claudia Tenney, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 24th district since 2021, has recently expressed her views on various topics through social media posts. Tenney replaced Anthony Brindisi and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Born in New Hartford, New York, she currently resides in Canandaigua and holds degrees from Colgate University and the University of Cincinnati.
On October 26, 2024, Rep. Tenney addressed New York City's financial expenditure on housing illegal immigrants. She stated: "NYC is spending $2.3 billion to house illegal immigrants in 2023 & 2024, resulting in the city agencies having to cut costs by 5%. Americans are losing the taxpayer-funded resources they paid for to give free hotel rooms to criminals!"
The following day, on October 27, 2024, she commended a local resident for his lifesaving actions. She wrote: "#NY24 applauds the bravery and quick action of Jack Crabbe, who performed CPR to save his father's life on the golf course. Special recognition to Victor Senior High School for teaching this valuable, lifesaving skill to its students."
Later that day, Tenney invited constituents to stay informed about her congressional work through regular updates: "Want to learn more about my work in Congress and what I'm doing for #NY24? Sign up for weekly updates here:"
