Congresswoman Claudia Tenney has expressed her support for U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) decision to evaluate Cloverleaf as a potential site for a new station in Jefferson County. This development follows Tenney's recommendation made in September to Joseph Zidron, Director of the Real Property Program Management Office at CBP.
Tenney stated, "The decision to evaluate Cloverleaf as a potential site for a new CBP station in Jefferson County brings us one step closer to finding a solution that has support from our community and advances CBP's crucial mission." She emphasized the collaborative efforts between her team, community members, and CBP leadership in discussing suitable locations for the facility. Her letter to CBP urged consideration of the Cloverleaf site proposed by the Thousand Island Bridge Authority.
She added, "I am eager to see that CBP has taken into consideration the opinions of the community and is evaluating the Cloverleaf site. I look forward to working with the CBP and Jefferson County to find the best possible site for this proposed station."
Tenney also expressed gratitude towards CBP personnel, saying, "I want to thank the hardworking men and women of CBP once again for their service to our nation."
