Cost of college went up for all students at Niagara University

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Niagara University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $33,180 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,230 more than the $31,950 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 587 students received grants or scholarships totaling $14.7 million and 441 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,763), 2,760 students used grants or scholarships totaling $57.2 million, and 1,843 students took out $13.6 million in federal student loans.
