The Niagara County Sheriff's Office will be participating in a special High Visibility Engagement Campaign on impaired driving this holiday season. The statewide STOP-DWI Holiday Season High Visibility Engagement Campaign began December 14th and will end on January 1st.
In 2020, there were 11,654 alcohol-impaired-driving fatalities across the country.
While STOP-DWI efforts across New York State have led to significant reductions in the numbers of alcohol or drug related fatalities, still too many lives are being lost because of crashes caused by drunk or impaired drivers. High visible, highly publicized efforts like STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaigns aim to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impaired driving.
Keep your season merry and bright. #DriveSober or Get Pulled Over.
