At its recent annual meeting, the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC) Board of Directors announced the appointment of two new board members, Frank A. Massaro, M.D., and Robert J. Morreale, CPA. The meeting took place on March 24.
Dr. Massaro is an anesthesiologist at the University at Buffalo and a native of Niagara Falls. He has been involved in clinical research, medical education, healthcare policy, and advocacy for resident physicians. His notable achievements include participating in the bargaining committee that secured the first union contract for resident physicians at UB. Dr. Massaro has twice been nominated for the Siegel Award for Excellence in Teaching at the Jacobs School of Medicine and has contributed to curriculum development, particularly in transesophageal echocardiography training for Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellows. Additionally, he served as a Cryptologic Technician in the U.S. Navy.
Robert J. Morreale previously held the position of Chief Financial and Innovation Officer at Niagara University, where he managed various aspects such as financial operations and human resources. His experience includes financial management, budgeting, debt restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, internal controls, and efficiency improvements. Morreale also served as CFO and VP of Human Resources at Ashton Potter (USA) Ltd., overseeing financial operations and administrative functions. He is active in community service through his roles on the NFMMC Finance Committee and as a board member of the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce.
The reappointed officers are Chairman James C. Roscetti from Roscetti & DeCastro P.C.; Vice Chairman Cynthia A. Bianco; Treasurer Charles G. Rader; and Secretary Margaret M. Toohey.
Three incumbent board members were reelected to three-year terms: Robert L. Bradley Jr., Don J. King, and Ronald R. Campbell.
