Claudia Tenney addresses issues from Cuomo directive to New York climate policies

Rep. Claudia Tenney, representing New York's 24th district, shared recent legislative and policy concerns through a series of posts. Having served in Congress since 2021, she previously held a position in the New York State Assembly and continues to engage in discussions on national and state issues.

On April 21, 2025, Rep. Tenney announced her upcoming appearance on "Faulkner Focus" to discuss her recent visit to El Salvador's CECOT prison. She urged viewers to tune in to the program stating, "TUNE IN I’ll be joining @FaulknerFocus in just a few minutes to discuss my recent visit to El Salvador’s CECOT prison."

Later that day, Tenney addressed former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's controversial nursing home mandate, emphasizing the necessity of accountability. In a tweet, she highlighted updated information regarding the directive's consequences, stating, "The updated & now factually accurate https://t.co/kcebPkqWx3 highlights disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's nursing home directive, which resulted in the untimely death of over 15,000 New Yorkers. A reminder that we will not stop until he is held accountable."

Tenney also commented on New York's Climate Act championed by Governor Hochul and the Albany Democrats, critiquing its alignment with the Green New Deal. On the same day, she expressed concern about potential cost increases for residents, suggesting alternative energy strategies. She tweeted, "Governor Hochul & Albany Democrat's New York's Climate Act will only advance Green New Deal policies that will drive up costs for New Yorkers. We need to boost American energy production by restarting drilling for natural gas & investing in nuclear. Wind & solar alone just"

Claudia Tenney, born in New Hartford, New York in 1961, has held her congressional role since unseating Anthony Brindisi in 2021. A graduate of Colgate University and the University of Cincinnati, she resides in Canandaigua.
